McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Program
Overview
The McKinney Vento Education Program provides after school and evening services for homeless children and youth residing in the grant region. Activities are designed to address basic cognitive skills, self-help skills, supportive therapy, visual perceptual skills and receptive and expressive development. Services are also furnished through the implementation of after-school programs Monday thru Friday between 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm for school age children residing in shelters throughout the grant region. The after school programs are housed at various locations.

We can assist you with resources and information if you are currently experiencing homelessness
- In a shelter
- In a motel or campground due to the lack of an adequate nighttime residence
- In a car, park, abandoned building, or a bus or train station
- Doubled Up with Other People Due to A Loss of Housing or Economic Hardship
